Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge are the latest models of the Samsung smartphone family. This article gives an insight about how to tackle when these smartphones go unresponsive.

Unlike most of the phones, the Galaxy S7 or the S7 Edge doesn’t come with a removable battery. So one way to reset is to perform the usual restart option. Hold down the power button for a while and wait till the phone restarts. But sometimes, the phone freezes and might not respond to the power button. In that case, we could go with a soft reset.

  • Hold down the power key and volume down key
  • Wait for a while – till your phone restarts

Factory reset, on the other hand is different thing which erases all the data and the user settings from the device. Unless we have a backup of our data and settings, its impossible to recover lost stuff. So if you are going ahead with performing a factory reset or a hard reset, make sure you have properly taken back up of your device.

Go to Settings – > Backup and Reset – > Factory data reset
