WhatsApp for Windows Phone has been updated for Windows Phone with the version number going up to 2.12.270. The update has brought a couple of features that were previously being tested on the beta version of the app.
Firstly, the chat search feature has been improved where you type any keyword and that results in showing up those chats which has the typed keyword.Previously this search was only limited to search using the contact name and not any random word from a chat. The change-log on the Store page of WhatsApp says this feature may take time, say a few days to actually show up in the app.
Support for in-app notification sounds has been added with this update and the emoji has been updated to match with that of Android and iOS counterparts.
