The private beta of WhatsApp for Windows Phone has received another update, which makes it the second update in this week. The update ups the version number from 2.12.144 to 2.12.148 which seems minor.
The update brought a feature that will be welcomed by some and not so much by the other Windows Phone users – activation of background mode. Even if the user comes out of WhatsApp using the back button, the app wouldn’t be totally closed, meaning the app keeps running in the background. This could be a little issue on low-end devices with a lower RAM capacity but it could mean that the app response time will be improved.
There are a whole lot of improvements going on in the beta version of WhatsApp these days and after successful testing of these features happens, it will be soon out to the public version of the app.
