With the number of users as well as their activity keeps only increasing on Facebook, the social media company is on its way to roll out more features to let its users be able to control what they see as and when they open the app on the mobile device – News Feed. The preferences have been expanded and redesigned to give the users a better control over their News Feed, says Facebook.
News Feed is a personalized stream of stories that you build from the people and Pages you’ve connected to on Facebook. The goal of News Feed is to show you the stories that matter most to you. Last year we announced some new ways to control what you see in News Feed. Today we are announcing even better tools for you to actively shape and improve the experience.
The new controls that Facebook is adding to its mobile app on Android and iOS are :
– Select friends and Pages to see first
– Find new Pages to connect to
– Select which friends and Pages to follow or unfollow
The features will be under the Settings menu of the app, and these will be available on the iOS app starting today, while for the desktop version and the Android app, these will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
