The new Video Calling feature of Facebook’s Messenger app is now expanded to most of the countries globally and now can be used for free. It was previously released for the U.S and 17 other countries, but now for an exception of few countries, all the people of most of the regions will be now able to use it. However, Facebook did not list the names of those countries which are the exceptions as of now.
David Marcus, Vice President of Messaging Products, Facebook, announced on his Facebook Page about the feature’s availability. He said the quality of the calling – audio and video wise – still needs to be improved for those countries before they could start using the feature.
We’re happy to share we’ve now rolled out the capability globally, with the exception of a few countries we’re still working on improving quality for
The feature is now cross-platform with Android and iOS, provided you have the latest version of the Facebook Messenger app on your device.
