VLC player for Windows Phone has exited beta today with an update! The popular media player app has been constantly receiving love from both the users’ side in the form of downloads and from the developers’ side in the form of regular updates.

The app, which is now named just as ‘VLC for Windows Phone’, is now a universal app with majority of code being shared for  the Windows and Windows Phone apps, according to the developer Thomas Nigro.

The update brings a few changes in the user interface of the app and HD video playback issues have been fixed. Since it is now out of beta, make sure you give the app a try and let us know what you think of it in the comments!
