Windows 10 for Phones, until now, is a big deal only on the software side of Windows Phone but with latest news, that’s about to change as Microsoft’s website shows that it could mean improvement to the hardware side too.
The event listing of WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Community) 2015 event which will take place on March 18th and 19th this year, shows that there is more to Windows 10 for Phones than major software improvements. It says :
Windows 10 introduces support for USB Dual Role and Type-C, which will enable new wired connectivity scenarios such a phone interacting with USB peripherals, or laptops connecting to an external display using the USB Type-C connector. This session will go into detail on how Windows supports these technologies and what you need to do to enable them.
