Major instant messaging app owner WhatsApp has started drawing line to the users of unofficial clients, since today. The company has started banning users of WhatsApp plus especially. These are the unofficial clients who use WhatsApp’s network without their permission and they do not even guarantee the privacy of the user’s information.

Acknowledging the bans, WhatsApp has mentioned a FAQ on its website which states

“WhatsApp Plus is an application that was not developed by WhatsApp, nor is it authorized by WhatsApp. The developers of WhatsApp Plus have no relationship to WhatsApp, and we do not support WhatsApp Plus. Please be aware that WhatsApp Plus contains source code which WhatsApp cannot guarantee as safe and that your private information is potentially being passed to 3rd parties without your knowledge or authorization.”

To get rid of the bans, WhatsApp has suggested to all users using any third-party apps to uninstall them from their device and install the authorized and rightful app from the respective App Stores.
