Micromax has unveiled its first Cyanogen powered smartphone – Yureka – in India today at a price of INR 8,999. The smartphone is an Amazon exclusive device and will be available for sale to all Indian customers from 19th December, 2014.
The Yureka is a replica of most of the Micromax’s Android smartphone sin terms of hardware specifications, but on the software side, it is the first of all smartphones available in India till date that possesses a Cyanogen OS 11. This indeed is the unique feature of the Yureka.
Coming to the technical specifications, the Yureka is powered by a Qualcom Snapdragon 64 bit 1.5 GHz Octa-core processor which promises to leave you with lag nowhere. It has a 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16 GB internal memory which is expandable upto 32 GB with a micro-SD card, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5MP front facing camera and a 2500mAh battery. With all this comes a 5.5-inch display protected by a corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The other special feature of the Yureka from Micromax is that it comes with a 4G(LTE) connectivity which promises to give its users 150 Mbps download speeds and 1.5 times higher data connectivity than regular networks.
