Google has started the official roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop for its Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 7 2012 Android devices. Every consumer with any above mentioned Nexus device would be receiving the OTA to Lollipop well before the last day of November.
The build number that comes with the OTA update is LRX21T and brings all the new features like Material Design, Priority mode, Android SmartLock, improved Android Beamer support, multi-user support and many more to your Nexus device.
If you are a Nexus device user, you should not be worried if you have not received the OTA already. The update is being released in phases, so every Nexus user will not receive the OTA at the same time. However, only those Nexus models running the stock Android ROM will receive the update OTA and not those running on custom ROMs.
To check if your Nexus device has received the OTA, connect your device to Wi-Fi and go to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates and then tap on Check Now. If you find any update, all you should do is start installing it right away and the installation process will be completed automatically.
Now that all the Nexus devices are receiving their updates to Android Lollipop Over-The-Air, which manufacturer do you think would release Android Lollipop next? Motorola, LG, Sony? Let us know in the comments!
