It is a seeming change that almost everything that was once Nokia is now being re-branded to ‘Microsoft’ or ‘Lumia’, the Microsoft Lumia 535 being the latest example. Same thing now applies even to the Windows Phone Store.
Over a series of updates, we have seen that apps such as ‘Nokia Camera’ ‘Nokia Panorama’ which are exclusive only to Lumia users have been re-branded to ‘Lumia’. Now the Categories section of the Windows Phone Store shows the first category as ‘Lumia COllection’ while it used to be ‘Nokia Collection.’ As always, this category of apps is the collection of all the Nokia apps that were exclusive only to Lumia Windows Phone users.
Considering all these, the only place where ‘Nokia’ would be seen on a Microsoft-owned mobile phone is the boot screen of the Windows Phones released into market so far. What do you think of this Lumia re-branding? Let us know in the comments!
