Google has taken the major step in the life cycle of its latest OS – Android 5.0 Lollipop – before it becomes fully available to customers. the Lollipop OS is being uploaded to Android Open Source Project(ASOP) by Google , starting yesterday, which means every source code that the Google’s team of developers have built for this latest release, will be uploaded to the ASOP. Considering an update this big, this upload will definitely take time to complete.
This new branch of Android in the ASOP is named lollipop-release, which would change when the official name of the lollipop ASOP would be released. Till now, the device specific repositories for nexus player, nexus 6 and nexus 9 have been spotted and the repositories for Nexus 7 2013 are also expected be seen soon.
