Android 5.0 Lollipop has got quite a few exciting features, one of which is the material design UI which completely takes Android user experience to a new level. This post is to let you know about another one of the new features that comes along with Android 5.0 and that is “multi-user support”. This feature was so far restricted to only Android tablets but Android 5.0 is coming to fill that gap between tablets and smartphones.
In the multi-user feature, the first user, is obviously, the device owner and he/she has the control of accepting who the other user would be. The added guest user will meet with a welcome screen first which takes them to the setup process. Once this setup is complete, an account switcher button will appear on the top right corner of the screen and this is the button that will be at your service whenever you want to switch users on the device.
And to your delight, app switching is not at all a cumbersome process, as each user will have their own wallpapers, apps, and also when you connect your Android 5.0 phone to a computer to transfer files, the files of that user who will currently be logged into the phone will be seen.
Impressed? Let us know how you are feeling about this feature.
