For the users who have Windows Phone 8.1 Developers Preview installed in their Windows Phone, Microsoft will roll out the next update (Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1) which comes with a lot of new features. But prior to the update going global, a Youtube video has shown off the “folders” feature that comes along with the update.

Folders in Windows Phone 8.1, as said before, can be created by long pressing a tile until it can be moved and then drag+drop it on another tile. This creates a folder and when the folder is opened, a space below the start screen is created which expands the contents of the folder, thereby allowing the user to chose any app contained in that folder.

Along with this “folders” feature, other new features such as expansion of Cortana to other countries, Internet Explorer updates and many more are to come to Windows Phone 8.1 with this update 1(GDR1).
