Microsoft is reportedly planning to unveil two new Windows Phones, one of them being termed as a ‘Selfie Phone’. The Verge reported today that sources close to it have told that Microsoft Devices chief Stephen Elop revealed both handsets during an internal company meeting this week.
According to them, Stephen Elop showed off a new Windows Phone and described it as the ‘Selfie Phone’. This handset is expected to come with a 5MP front camera and a 4.7 inch display. This Selfie Phone from Windows Phone was previously revealed with the codename ‘Superman’.
The other handset is codenamed ‘Tesla’ and reportedly Stephen Elop has deribed it as a ‘affordable high-end phone’ with a PureView camera. This Tesla smartphone is expected to be the successor of Lumia 720. NokiaPowerUser reports that this successor of Lumia 720 might be announced by the end of August and will run Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 1 (Windows Phone 1 Update 1).
Also, there is news that HTC is working on a new Windows Phone model that would be exactly similar to its Android One M8. More on that in the next post.
