Sony has posted in its blog that it has started releasing the Android Kitkat 4.4.2 update to its Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia T2 Ultra dual android smartphones. This update will change the build number of the Xperia T2 Ultra users to 19. 1.A.0.373 while the build number of the Xperia T2 Ultra dual changes to 19.1.C.0.116.
One surprising change that this update brings is that Sony is now providing users with the facility to move apps to SD cards. This option can be seen in Settings. Go to Settings -> Apps and click on any app. ‘Move to SD‘ card option will be displayed. Another new column ‘On SD card‘ has been added to give a glance of all the apps that are on the SD card at a given time.
The changes that come with the update are similar to those on other Xperia handsets that have already received the update. The update is said to improve the overall camera experience, enhanced email app, transparent navigation bar,a tweaked status bar and quick settings, compatibility with the SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app and the usual stability, performance and battery enhancements.
The update is expected to roll out soon for the Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 handsets of Sony as well.
As usual, the update reaches the devices according to the market and carrier. So go to Settings and check for updates to see if your Xperia T2 Ultra handset have received and Android 4.4.2 update or not.
