windows phone 8.1 action center

The action center is one of the major changes that the Windows Phone 8.1 brought to Windows Phone. Previously, whenever a notification sound pops up, we had to battle out which app was it. But the action center made it all easy by displaying the notifications right in it.

But what if you don’t want somebody else to see what your notifications are when your phone is locked? That is pretty simple. All that there is to it is to just toggle of this particular option in the settings of your windows phone 8.1. So here’s how to do it:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Tap on Notifications+actions

3. You will find ‘show notifications in action center when my phone is locked

4. Deselect it and that’s it!

Now whenever your phone is locked and if someone tries to access your action center, all the find is just the quick access buttons like wi-fi, Bluetooth etc.
