For somebody using an iPhone or an iPad that runs on iOS 7, Siri makes it easier to keep up with twitter. With Siri on the iOS 7 device, users can

  • Compose a new tweet
  • Search for a specific person’s tweets
  • Search for what’s trending on twitter
  • Search for a particular term or a hashtag

This comes very advantageous when the user uses his/her hands to do something like cooking or gardening and cannot completely concentrate on typing. Before knowing any of the above, it is necessary that for the user to sign-in into the twitter app by going to Settings. So let’s start knowing…

How to compose a new tweet to twitter using Siri on iOS7:

1. Press and hold the home button on the iPad on iPhone to activate Siri.

2. Say “Compose a tweet“.

3. Siri then asks to say what the new tweet is. Say what you would want the new tweet to be.

4. Then Siri would ask to confirm tweeting the new tweet to twitter. Say “Yes” to confirm.

Siri will then send your new tweet immediately to twitter.

How to see tweets of a specific person using Siri on iOS7:

1. Press and hold the home button on the iPad on iPhone to activate Siri.

2. Say something like “What is xxxx tweeting about?“. Replace xxxx by the name of the person whose tweets you want to see.

3. Siri will then bring forth all the recent tweets of that specific person you asked for.

4. Tap on any tweet to read more or to launch it in the twitter app.

How to see what’s trending on twitter using Siri on iOS7:

1. Press and hold the home button on the iPad on iPhone to activate Siri.

2. Say something like “What’s trending on twitter?” or “What are the trending topics on twitter?

3. Siri will then display the recent trending topics or their related tweets on the screen.

4. Tap on any tweet to read more or to launch it in the twitter app.

How to see a specific trending term or a hashtag on twitter using Siri on iOS7:

1. Press and hold the home button on the iPad on iPhone to activate Siri.

2. Say something like “Search twitter for hashtag xxx” or you can omit saying hashtag by directly saying “Search twitter for xxx” where you should replace xxx with the topic of your interest.

3. Siri will then display the recent tweets related to the specific term or the hashtag term.

4. Tap on any tweet to read more or to launch it in the twitter app.
